Together with the visualisation team for Merri Northcote, I contributed to a suite of interior renders that reflect the project’s nature-focused and sustainably driven design vision. Working closely with Six Degrees Architects and MAB, we aimed to capture interiors that feel warm, grounded and seamlessly connected to the surrounding Merri Creek landscape.
Using 3ds Max with V-Ray, I helped develop detailed material and lighting setups that express the project’s tactile palette of recycled timbers, exposed concrete, soft natural stone and the distinct stained-glass accents that reference the area’s heritage. Our lighting approach centred on natural daylight and gentle artificial warmth, shaping interiors with a calm, contemplative atmosphere.
My role also involved Photoshop post-production, where I refined tonal balance, depth and texture to enhance realism while staying aligned with the collective design intent. The resulting visuals present the interiors as thoughtfully crafted, environmentally attuned spaces shaped through a collaborative effort to merge architectural clarity with a genuine connection to place.
